Abstract
The violence against women, in recent years, has ceased to be a domestic or private problem and has become a complex public problem worldwide. Peru is no stranger to this problem, considering the high rate of violence against women recorded, due to factors that negatively affect access to justice for victims of violence and their recovery. For these purposes, the study gathers the valuable opinion, perception and experience of the victims of violence themselves, in their transit through each of the processes subject of analysis: attention to the complaint, protection and mental health recovery. In particular, the study has sought to highlight those difficulties that hinder these processes and that impair access to justice and the recovery of victims of violence. With a qualitative research approach and descriptive nature, an interview script with open-ended questions, was applied to a non-probabilistic sample (purposive sampling) of victims of violence, to the extent that this group knows, has experience, because they have participated in each of the three processes that are the subject of analysis. understanding of the areas in which to intervene to ensure that victims of violence achieve better access to justice and mental health recovery. The results obtained in this research are relevant to the extent that they contribute to the knowledge of the effectiveness of these services; and to generate improvement processes, so that these services are aligned and respond to the expectations and demands of the victims of violence; and therefore, to the generation of public value. In addition, these findings contribute to a better understanding of the areas in which to intervene to ensure that victims of violence achieve better access to justice and mental health recovery.
