La Real Hacienda durante las guerras de independencia en el Perú. Un balance historiográfico como punto de partida

Abstract

En el marco de la conmemoración del bicentenario de la independencia del Perú se ha desarrollado una amplia gama de investigaciones de este proceso desde ópticas políticas, sociales, culturales, económicas, entre otras. Pese a ello, una de las temáticas que no ha sido tan analizada dentro de la historiografía sobre el Perú ha sido la fiscalidad y los mecanismos por los cuales se conseguían recursos para la Real Hacienda en un contexto de caos político a raíz de las guerras de independencia. En ese sentido, nos proponemos realizar un balance historiográfico que tendrá como finalidad plantear la situación de la historiografía hacendaria y fiscal durante las guerras de independencia hasta su consolidación en 1824, poniendo énfasis principalmente en el lado realista del conflicto. A partir de este análisis, buscaremos apuntar nuevas líneas temáticas que permitan el avance y desarrollo de la historiografía sobre el Erario peruano.

In the context of the commemoration of the bicentennial of Peru’s independence, a wide range of research has been conducted analyzing this process from political, social, cultural, economic, and other perspectives. Despite this, one of the topics that has received little attention within historiography on Peru has been taxation and the mechanisms by which resources were obtained for the Royal Treasury in a context of political chaos following the wars of independence. In this regard, we propose to conduct a historiographical overview that will aim to present the current state of treasury and fiscal historiography developed in Peru during the wars of independence until its consolidation in 1824, placing emphasis primarily on the realistic side of the conflict. Based on this analysis, we will seek to identify new thematic areas that will allow for the advancement and development of the historiography on the Peruvian Treasury.
