Abstract
This study analyzes the feasibility of relaunching Aceros Arequipa's construction stirrups, a leading company in the Peruvian steel industry recognized for its long-standing expertise in manufacturing high-quality steel products. Construction stirrups, essential for ensuring structural safety in columns and beams, have been part of the company’s portfolio for years but currently experience minimal sales despite their significance in self-construction. The research employed both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including interviews with sales executives, hardware store clients, and construction foremen, as well as surveys targeting a representative group of foremen. Findings revealed that stirrups are highly valued for their quality among those familiar with and using the product. However, most respondents indicated either unawareness of the product or difficulty finding it in hardware stores, although they expressed interest in purchasing it. The analysis identified a potential demand driven by the need for solutions that enhance construction efficiency. It concludes that the product’s relaunch will be highly successful, meeting market expectations and improving safety in self-construction projects.
