Informalidad y seguridad social: pasado, presente y futuro

Abstract

El presente artículo analiza la relación entre el modelo de seguridad social peruano y la informalidad laboral. Mediante un análisis temporal que abarca los orígenes del sistema, su aplicación actual y los desafíos futuros, se demuestra que la informalidad y la falta de acceso a la seguridad social son dos manifestaciones de un mismo problema estructural. Por ello, se propone transitar hacia un modelo de protección social capaz de responder a la realidad del mercado laboral peruano.This article analyzes the relationship between the Peruvian social security model and labor informality. Through a temporal analysis covering the origin of the system, its current application, and future challenges, it demonstrates that informality and the lack of access to social security are two manifestations of the same structural problem. For this reason, it proposes a transition toward a social protection model capable of responding to the reality of the Peruvian labor market.
